Pilipino American Unity for Progress (UniPro) and the Philippine Consulate General in Houston invite you to participate in Houston Area's Inaugural

Philippine Graduation Ceremony

Date: Saturday, June, 22 2019
Time: 9:30am – 12:30pm

Consulate General of the Philippines
9990 Richmond Ave #100N, Houston, TX 77042

The event is open to all Filipino-American academic candidates who have successfully completed coursework in an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral field this year.

The Philippine Graduation Ceremony (known as P-Grad) has been a tradition for many years in colleges and universities along the West and East Coasts with high Filipino American student populations. At these ceremonies, community leaders commend the achievements made by graduating students of Filipino descent, and send them off to the next stage of their careers with words of encouragement.

We continue this tradition in order to celebrate the students in the Houston and Texas region. Remarks will be given by the Consul General, the Honorable Jerril G. Santos, and leaders of the local Filipino community, followed by a presentation of the graduating students.

Space will be reserved for the first 28 applicants who are undergrad, graduate or doctorate students, graduating in the academic school year of 2018 - 2019 that is part of an FSA in the Southern Intercollegiate Filipino Alliance. We ask there be a maximum amount of 2 representatives per university.

These are the requirements:

- Scheduled to Graduate Spring/Summer 2019 | Graduated Fall 2018

- Must be of Filipino Descent

- Have shown major involvement in FSA and/or in the community

Graduates will be asked to attend dressed in their school's academic regalia. The registration fee is waived, but registration is mandatory for attendance. Only the graduating student needs to register. Once your registration has been confirmed, you will be notified with further instructions including the amount of guests that you may bring for this community celebration.
