"Six Reasons You'll Want to Attend UniPro's Summer Soiree" by Kristina London

Rooftop cocktails and community organizing, anyone?

The tried and true formula for a great party goes as follows: delicious food + lively music + good company = satisfied attendees. UniPro's Summer Soiree will have all of that (and more!) this August 13th, on the rooftop of the 14th Street Y. Find out why braving the city subways to the LES in white party attire will be worth it in the six reasons we've listed below:

  1. Ditch the balloons and frosting, this isn't your average sixth birthday - UniPro is turning six!  That's six years of creating innovative ways of collaboration. From Summit to PGrad, we're constantly brainstorming ways to engage our Pilipino American community. Since our humble beginnings in New York in 2009, we have established three more chapters to expand our work, each taking action on issues in their respective communities. Turning six is definitely something to celebrate!

  2. Let's keep the FUN in FUNdraising - You never really need a reason to party, but won't it feel good knowing your dollars are going towards good? Proceeds from this party will go towards the development of UniPro programming and operations. With your donations, you could sponsor a student's journey to empowerment, or help us educate Fil-Am voters

  3. Network with community leaders - UniPro's network is filled with entrepreneurs, social changemakers, authors, artists, and more.

  4. We mentioned delicious food - Sisig City, New York's first ever Pilipino Food Truck, will be providing the grub for this amazing night. Refreshments will be courtesy of Mansi and San Miguel.

  5. And lively music - DJ MarvL, DJ in residence at Fat Buddha, will be providing the tunes

  6. And of course, partying with US -
